Our technique:

We performed our facelift using the deep SMAS technique, and a sling and corset neck lift approach to improve neckline contour. This reverses the signs of aging of the lower neck and face. Expect elimination of jowls, better definition of your jawline and neck, and treatment of your neck bands.

We emphasize a natural result that is not ‘pull’ or fake and have a long lasting results.

We frequently suggest combining facelift with other procedures such as fat grafting to address facial volume loss, eyelid surgery, neck structure contouring (removing part of the submandibular glands and deep fat), and possible chin surgery.

Hello, Dr Boonipat here, facial plastic surgeon. So what does a recovery looks like for a deep plane facelift? So the day of surgery you go home the same day. You have drains that come out the next day. You can go back to video meetings in 2 or 3 days and then after about a week you can go back to in-person meeting and the full recovery with the swelling and bruising is about 2 -3 weeks and the result can last up to 10 years with a deep plane facelift.

So a lot of patients asked me what can we do after a lot of weight loss so nowadays a lot of patients are on injections or had weight lost surgery in the past and they lost like 50 pounds, 100 pounds and they're noticing a lot of change in the face and their body for example they used to have a full face that is now all sacking and the excess skin in the jowls and in the neck and the face. make them look tired, for example. And the body also has hanging excess skin everywhere, in the abdomen and in the arms. So what we can do for the face is that we replace the loss volume. Usually we can do liposuction or take fat from elsewhere in the body via liposuction and then use that to inject via fat grafting to revolumized your face. And then the excess skin we can use procedures such as face lift, neck lift and other procedures to tighten the skin and get rid of the excess skin to help rejuvenate your face. For the body we can do similarly, which is basically removing excess skin the abdomen and then also liposuction to remove any residual fat you might have that did not go away with the weight loss.

FAQ: Facelift

  • What is the difference between oral/maxillofacial surgeon and plastic surgeon?
Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons have a dental background. They went to dental school prior to obtaining their training in maxillofacial surgery. The training involved dental implants, third molar removal, facial fractures, orthognathic surgery, and in some programs free flaps reconstruction for the head and neck. Plastic Surgeons goes to medical school prior to residency. In plastic surgery residency, the training does not involve dental implants, or third molar removal. It does involve facial fractures, orthognathic surgery, free flap reconstruction in the head and neck and the rest of the body. Plastic surgeons also have extensive training in facial aesthetics. Dr. Boonipat further his plastic surgery training with a concentrated fellowship in aesthetic jaw surgery in Taiwan. He is well qualified to address both your functional concerns by working with your orthodontist (braces/teeth doctor), and your aesthetic concerns because of his plastic surgery and fellowship training. In many cases, jaw surgery can be performed with other aesthetic procedures to improve your aesthetic outcome, all under one anesthesia. (See page on combined jaw surgery with rhinoplasty or combined jaw surgery with other facial cosmetic procedures.
